Eligibility
To be eligible for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Hold (or soon acquire) a Master’s degree in the field of chemical science and/or engineering.

- Be proficient in English. Non-native speakers without a Dutch qualification or secondary/tertiary education in English must provide test results: IELTS (minimum 6.5), TOEFL-iBT (minimum 90), or Cambridge CAE-C (CPE).
Scholarship Description
As a PhD candidate, you will design, synthesize, and characterize sustainable and durable polymer brush coatings with tailored functionalities, such as antifouling behavior. You will integrate these coatings into table-top test setups for electrochemical separation and cleaning processes to see how they improve efficiency and replace chemical processing aids. The position offers access to top-tier research facilities like the NanoLab and provides supportive mentorship for professional and personal development.
