Eligibility/Qualification

Academic Requirements

Candidates must fulfill basic eligibility under Chapter 7, Section 39 of the Swedish Higher Education Ordinance:

  • Hold a second-cycle degree (e.g., a Master’s degree), or
  • Completed course requirements of at least 240 higher education credits (with at least 60 credits at the second-cycle level), or
  • Acquired substantially equivalent knowledge in or outside Sweden.

Language Proficiency

  • Mandatory proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English B/6.

Personal Competencies

  • Proven ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a research team.
  • Strong goal orientation, perseverance, and professional work ethic.
  • Demonstrated capability to analyze and solve complex theoretical and algorithmic problems.
  • Excellent communication skills in English for daily research tasks.

Job Description

  • Research Focus: Contribute to the evolution of SAGIN, specifically focusing on dual-tier space-ground integrated networks.
  • Key Tasks: Develop mathematical models, architectural concepts, and AI/machine learning frameworks to manage thousands of dynamic communication nodes, overcoming challenges posed by orbital dynamics, space weather, and altitude densification.
  • Work Division: Full-time doctoral studies for up to 4 years. The candidate may perform departmental duties (such as teaching or administration) for up to 20% of full-time.
