About- Prof. Wenjie Tao at Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology (QIBEBT) is looking for postdoc researchers to join his research group. Postdocs can apply for $28,000 to $42,000 annual salary ($10,000-$15,000 per year extra allowance) and other job benefits. If selected into the Excellent Postdoctoral Funding Program, a postdoc can get $14,000 extra allowance and live in a postdoc scholar apartment.

Summary

Postdoctoral researchers (two positions), Prof. Wenjie Tao’s research group at the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology.
Graduates with doctoral degrees in polymer chemistry, organometallic chemistry, or inorganic chemistry who have completed or are about to complete their studies.
If accepted into QIBEBT’s Excellent Postdoctoral Funding Program, the postdoc annual salary will be $42000 (first class), $28000 (second class), and $14000 per year extra allowance.
The research group will support postdoctoral fellows’ long-term development and career planning by providing a good scientific research environment and personal development space.
Postdocs can apply for postdoc scholar apartments to live in, in accordance with QIBEBT management policies.

Eligibility/Qualification–

1. Graduates who have obtained or are about to obtain doctoral degrees in polymer chemistry, organometallic chemistry, inorganic chemistry.

2. Have published papers in important international academic journals, have strong independent scientific research ability and good English reading and writing skills.

3. Have passion for scientific research and good scientific research ethics and teamwork spirit.

Research group: Prof. Wenjie Tao group at Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology, CAS.

Location: No. 189 Songling Road, Laoshan District, Qingdao, Shandong Province, China, 266101

Research direction:

1. Polymer chemistry: the development of olefin polymerization catalysts used for the efficient preparation of high-quality rubber elastomer materials

2. Inorganic chemistry: design of biomimetic inorganic model complexes to replicate the enzymatic activation and conversion reactions of greenhouse gases molecules

Responsibilities for postdoc:

1. Independently undertake or participate in various projects in the laboratory

2. Assist in laboratory management

Time to start: after February 15 2023

1. Annual salary ($28000 to $42000). If selected into the Excellent Postdoctoral Funding Program of QIBEBT, on the basis of the postdoc annual salary, can get $42000 (first class), $28000 (second class), and $14000 per year extra allowance.
