Eligibility/Qualification

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with protein expression and purification, ideally from mammalian cells.
  • Structural biology experience (ideally cryo-EM).
  • Experience with single-molecule fluorescence spectroscopy (preferred but not required).
  • Training in chemistry (bioconjugation, peptide chemistry, etc.) is a plus.
  • Skills in scientific programming (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB) are highly valued.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in laboratory techniques, including safety procedures.
  • Effective communication skills in writing and orally.
  • Ability to interpret and master complex research protocols.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Pursue research goals established by the Program Director (Dr. John Janetzko).
  • Lead primary data collection and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Analyze data, prepare, and present research findings in journal papers and conferences.
  • Train, supervise, and guide student workers, graduate students, and professional research assistants.
  • Contribute to and lead grant writing activities.

  • Onsite at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO.
