About- Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for the promotion of high-quality science education and research in the country.
Institute invites applications from Indian nationals having an excellent academic record and relevant work experience for the following position purely on a temporary and contractual basis under the funded project.

Eligibility/Qualification–
- Ph.D. in Life sciences or relevant areas
- At least one first author primary research publication in a peer-reviewed, international journal.
- Candidates should have demonstrated previous experience in mammalian cell culturing and, performing molecular and cell biology techniques.
- Experience in mammalian cell culturing and, performing molecular and cell biology techniques.
| Preference | Candidates having demonstrated experience in working with mammalian cell culture using molecular genetics, cell biological and imaging approaches, previous knowledge and experience in setting up genome-wide genetic screens as well as prior experience in the research areas of epigenetics and chromosomal biology will be preferred. |
| Job requirement | Incumbent is expected to do following: Assist in ongoing experiments using yeast as a model to perform genetic screens and assays. Help establish the mammalian cell culturing system in the laboratory along with the PI. Conduct research investigating the molecular mechanisms of how cohesin complexes are loaded on the chromosomes in human cancer cells. |
