Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), Italy invites application for postdoc position for candidates having PhD in physics, engineering, computer science or closely related discipline.
About- Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, with its headquarters in Genoa, Italy, is a non-profit institution with the primary goal of creating and disseminating scientific knowledge and strengthening Italy’s technological competitiveness. IIT was established in 2003 and successfully created a large-scale infrastructure in Genova, a network of 10 state-of-the-art laboratories countrywide and recruited an international staff of about 1200 people from more than 50 countries. Project Title- Microscopy and Single-Particle Tracking
Eligibility/Qualification- Candidates should have a solid background and good experimental skills in microscopy and/or image processing, should be strongly motivated and keen to work in an interdisciplinary research field. The Post Doc will work on novel microscopy methods for single-particle tracking, with the aims of improving the information content and spatial/temporal characteristics. The postdoctoral researcher will be given the opportunity to participate in the different research topics of the group and will be expected to make a strong contribution to the overall group’s research efforts.
Essentials qualifications for this position include a PhD in physics, engineering, computer science or closely related discipline.
Expertise in florescence labeling will be considered a plus.
Job/Position Description- The position is for a Post Doc Junior and the appointment will be for 1 year and 6 months with the possibility of renewal.
The research position is funded by Compagnia di San Paolo, with grant number 2017-0690.
