Job Description: The postdoc will contribute to the interdisciplinary research project on functional organic materials, including graphene derivatives, covalent-organic frameworks, and hyperbranched polymers. Responsibilities include high-level simulations, implementation of methods into computational workflows, and collaboration with the PATTERNCHEM team. The role offers training in functional organic materials, transferable skills, and mentorship for career development.
Research Environment: The Computational Carbon Chemistry group, initially in Heidelberg, Germany, will relocate to the University of Birmingham in April 2024. The team is dynamic, comprising undergraduate and PhD students, and postdocs with diverse backgrounds. - Starting salary (Grade 7): £34,980 to £44,263 per annum, potential progression to £46,974
