Postdoc – Recruitment: The Institute of Physical Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences invites applications for a Postdoc position in the Photochemistry and Spectroscopy Department within the field of Chemistry, Physics, Optics, Chemical Physics, and Biophysics. The position is part of the National Science Center (NSC) SONATA 15 Project titled “Graphene biosensing and biophysics” led by Dr. Izabela Kamińska.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree in Chemistry, Physics, or related fields obtained not earlier than 7 years before the engagement in the project.
- Background in nanotechnology.
- Very good command of spoken and written English.
- Excellent communications, organization, and time management skills.
Job Description: The postdoc will be responsible for:
- Preparation of nucleic acids nanostructures for investigating biophysical properties.
- Investigation of optoelectronic properties of graphene, hBN, and their heterostructures.
- Rebuilding, optimization, and alignment of the home-built fluorescence confocal microscope.
- Data analysis, report writing, and scientific publications.
- Cooperation with English-speaking colleagues and supervision of junior group members.
