Eligibility/Qualification
- Minimum Education: PhD in life sciences or related field (e.g., neuroscience or cell biology).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of research laboratory experience.
- Published evidence of accomplishment in a related field.
- Skills:
- Expertise in human stem cell culture, immunocytochemistry, RNA/DNA preparation, quantitative PCR, and next-generation sequencing.
- Prior safety training in Biosafety Level 2 (BSL2) procedures is required.
Job Description
The Postdoctoral Research Associate will support operations in a research lab, engaging in the following tasks:
- Preparation and expansion of human stem cell cultures.
- Archiving these cultures in liquid nitrogen.
- Quality control assessment and preparation of human neuron cultures for experiments.
- Instruction of staff and students, planning experiments, and developing new technical skills.
- Collaboration with other research groups and presentation of findings during group meetings.
