Postdoctoral Associate in CF Microbiology: Imperial College London is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate in CF Microbiology to work on a multidisciplinary project funded by LifeArc. The project aims to explore the antimicrobial properties of Glatiramer Acetate (GA) in combination with antibiotics for the treatment of cystic fibrosis (CF) and chronic lung infection.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in microbiology or closely related area.
- Interest in clinical respiratory infection, preferably cystic fibrosis.
- Demonstrated experience in relevant research.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize existing SOPs for drug synergy testing.
- Create complex culture conditions mimicking the CF lung environment.
- Identify suitable methodologies and ensure data validity.
- Take initiative in research planning and communicate findings effectively.
- Project management, supervision, and maintaining accurate experimental records.
- Submission of publications to leading journals and attracting external research funding.
Essential Requirements:
- PhD in microbiology or closely related area.
- Demonstrable interest in clinical respiratory infection, preferably cystic fibrosis.
- Evidence of performing relevant research.
Further Information:
- Full-time fixed-term contract for 2 years.
- Candidates not yet awarded their PhD will be appointed as Research Assistants within a specified salary range.
