Eligibility/Qualification

  • A PhD (or completion within six months of appointment) in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong track record of independent research as demonstrated by publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference presentations.
  • Solid background in computational biophysics.
  • Experience in molecular dynamics simulations, free energy calculations, or advanced sampling techniques related to proteins or biomolecules.
  • Proficiency in programming or scripting for simulation and data analysis.
  • Experience using high-performance computing environments.
  • Experience with structure prediction or AI methods is desirable.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Conduct independent research focused on advanced sampling methods and free energy calculations in molecular biology and biophysics.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present work at scientific conferences.
  • Collaborate nationally with other researchers.
  • Support the preparation of research grant proposals and contribute to securing external funding.
  • Engage in teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels through lectures, tutorials, online content, and assessments.
