About- Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic program of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. At present the Institute has eleven departments and five inter-disciplinary academic centers covering all the major engineering, science and humanities disciplines, offering BTech, BDes, MA, MDes, MTech, MSc and Ph.D. programs. Within a short period of time, IIT Guwahati has been able to build up world-class infrastructure for carrying out advanced research and has been equipped with state-of-the-art scientific and engineering instruments.

Eligibility/Qualification–
| Essential Qualification/Experience as per the norms | Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science or related. The percentage/grade points with respect to the academic qualifications will be a minimum of 60% or equivalent grade from Graduation onward and 55% or equivalent grade in class 10th and 12th. |
| Desirable Qualification/Experience | Experience in spectroscopy (either bulk or at single-particle concentrations) is required. Experience in optical microscopy, nanophotonics, and basic programming skills in Matlab or Python will be an added advantage. |
Job/Position Description-
The primary job will be to study charge/energy transfer process at metal nanoparticle-molecule interface using single-particle optical microscopy and spectroscopy techniques.
