Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Microbiology, Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, Computational Biology, or related field.
- Expertise in molecular biology, ecology, evolution, theory, genomics, and computation.
- Background or willingness to learn about microbiology, experimental evolution, and analysis of high throughput sequence data.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Job Description:
- Conduct research on nested symbioses involving bacteria-phage-plant interactions using integrative approaches.
- Collaborate with researchers from Indiana University, University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, University of Chicago, and University of Carolina Greensboro.
- Analyze high throughput sequence data, perform experimental evolution studies, and contribute to theoretical modeling.
- Participate in the dissemination of research findings through publications, presentations, and workshops.
- The position is available for 24 months with the possibility of renewal based on satisfactory performance. The anticipated start date is June 1, 2024, but negotiable. Salary will be commensurate with experience, and full benefits are included.
