Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in applied physics, material science, or related fields.
  • Expertise in experimental design and signal processing for ultrasound.
  • Proficiency in ultrasonic imaging and data analysis.
  • Basic programming skills with Python/Matlab.
  • Knowledge of optical imaging (macro) and image analysis.

Job Description:

Postdoctoral Position (2 years) on Acoustic Trapping and Manipulation

The selected candidate will lead the implementation of manipulation and imaging strategies for radiation force transducers in the lab. Utilizing our acoustic trapping setup and imaging protocols, the candidate will explore the transducers’ response to ultrasound, calibrate their sensitivity, and analyze experimental data. Key activities and methods include instrumentation, experimental design, signal processing for ultrasound, ultrasonic imaging, data analysis, and basic programming.

The Lab and Working Environment: Located in the Physical Acoustics department of the Mechanical Engineering Institute in Bordeaux, our research group offers an exceptional working environment. The postdoc will collaborate closely with Ph.D. students and scientific partners in the engineering department.
