Research Area:
Hybrid Quantum Systems, including nanofabrication, optomechanics, and experimental atomic physics.

Location:
Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Physics, Nanotechnology, Photonics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in any of the following areas is beneficial:
    • Experimental atomic physics
    • Optics
    • Photonics
    • Optomechanics
    • Nanofabrication
    • Nanomechanics
    • Cryogenics
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Job Description:
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will lead and conduct experimental research in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing hybrid quantum systems for generating macroscopic quantum states of motion.
  • Coupling a single atom in an optical tweezer to a mechanical oscillator.
  • Advancing the state-of-the-art in nanomechanics, optomechanics, and cavity quantum electrodynamics.
  • Coaching PhD students.
  • Contributing creative ideas and sharing best practices within a collaborative team environment.
  • Ensuring attention to detail, self-motivation, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
