The researcher will investigate how action and gesture instruction impact children’s learning using functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). The role involves research management, data collection, analysis, manuscript preparation, and team supervision.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Doctoral degree in psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, cognitive neuroscience, physics, or related fields
- Experience with neuroimaging data and analysis packages preferred
- Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, R, Java, C/C++, or JavaScript preferred
- Experience conducting studies with children and project management skills preferred
Job Description:
- Investigate how action and gesture instruction impact children’s learning using fNIRS
- Manage research projects, including design, data collection, coding, and analysis
- Supervise and coordinate the work of research assistants and graduate students
- Apply advanced analysis and modeling techniques to neuroimaging data
- Contribute to other projects in the labs, including behavioral analyses and working with large datasets
- Prepare manuscripts for publication and present research findings at conferences
