Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Chemistry or a relevant area (completed or thesis submitted before the start date).
  • Experience in organic synthesis, electrochemistry, spectroscopy (UV-vis, FL, etc.), materials chemistry, or microscopy is desirable.
  • Strong independent research skills, ability to write/correct reports and manuscripts in English.
  • Ability to contribute to ongoing research projects and train new group members.

Job Description: The successful candidate will join a recently established research group and work on developing small molecules that undergo self-assembly and can be used as photo-functional materials. The project aims to integrate organic chemistry and catalysis knowledge for solar energy conversion. The researcher will have access to all necessary facilities for synthetic organic chemistry, self-assembly, materials characterization, and photocatalysis.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and characterizing small molecules for photocatalytic applications.
  • Expanding skills in organic, physical, and supramolecular chemistry.
  • Contributing to ongoing research projects.
  • Training new group members (Master and project students).
  • Writing and correcting reports and manuscripts in English.
  • Working independently in the lab.
