Qualifications:

Eligibility/QualificationRequirements
EducationDiploma or Master’s degree and a PhD in a biomedical or life science subject
ProductivityDemonstrated scientific productivity
Animal HandlingStrong background in working with mouse models; FELASA B accreditation desirable
Cell BiologyExperience in cell biology work, including cultivation of cell lines and/or organoids
Molecular Biology TechniquesProficiency in molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid isolation, cloning, western blotting, qPCR, and ChIP
Organizational SkillsResponsible work style, organizational skills, and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
Computer ApplicationsKnowledge of common computer applications and documentation according to Good Scientific Practice
Genomic AnalysesExpertise in genomic analyses, such as single-cell sequencing, is a plus
Communication SkillsExcellent written and oral communication skills in English

Job Description:

  • Design and implement cutting-edge research projects in translational genomics.
  • Identify new vulnerabilities in BAP1-mutant cancers by functional genomics.
  • Evaluate drugs in vitro, in vivo, and ex vivo in patient-derived organoids as preclinical models of uveal melanoma and renal cell carcinoma.
  • Ensure a high level of animal welfare and work to improve the quality of life of laboratory animals.
  • Project management, execution, analysis, and publication of translational cancer genomics results.
