IIT Kanpur, India, invites applications for Project Scientist on contractual basis at IIT from eligible and interested candidates
About- Applications are invited for temporary or contractual post of ‘Project Scientist/ Project Engineer’ under the project entitled “Printed Flexible OLED Labels for Displays in the Packaging Industry” at Samtel Centre for Display Technologies (SCDT), IIT Kanpur.
Research/Job Area- In related area (Department of Mechanical Engineering)
Location- IIT Kanpur
Eligibility/Qualification–
Essential qualifications:
- Ph.D. or M.E./M.Tech. + 3 years relevant experience or B.Tech. + 5 years relevant experience.
- Experience in conceptualization, design, and conduct of experiments, and data analysis, interpretation, and presentation.
- Research and/or product design and development experience with focus on the broad areas of fluid mechanics and fluid-structure interaction OR manufacturing engineering and fabrication of biomedical and microfluidic devices.
- Proficient in the use of analysis tools/softwares such as COMSOL, Ansys, and Solidworks
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience in medical device development and knowledge of biomedical product lifecycle.
- Experience in machining and additive manufacturing.
- Experience in LabView programming
- Hands-on experience in micro-controller programming, C/C++ with a preference for hardware experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work as a part of a dynamic group.
Job/Position Description-
Position: Senior Project Engineer, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Kanpur.
We are looking for dynamic and motivated candidates with strong interest and/or experience in medical device development to work towards the development of percutaneous circulatory support devices and allied systems.

Salary Range:
