R. C. Bose Centre for Cryptology and Security, Kolkata, India invites application for Faculty Positions from eligible and interested candidates
About- Indian Statistical Institute invites applications from duly qualified Indian nationals, including Persons of Indian Origins (PIOs) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), for full-time permanent faculty positions at the level of Assistant Professors and Associate Professors, to be placed at the R. C. Bose Centre for Cryptology and Security of the Institute, in Kolkata.
Research/Job Area- Computer Science or allied disciplines

Eligibility/Qualification– This advertisement is primarily for candidates with a strong research background in the area of Cryptology and Security. One should have a PhD in Computer Science or allied disciplines, with a strong doctoral thesis in the broad area of Cryptology and Security, with first class or equivalent in appropriate disciplines in the preceding degrees, to be considered for the aforesaid positions. One should also have very strong academic credentials and an established research record, supported by high-quality publications in top-tier journals and conferences of cryptology and security. Services to the Govt. of India, in terms of research projects, consultancy activities, and teaching/training experience, will be considered as desirable qualification.
Assistant Professor– one must possess at least three (3) years of Post-PhD research/industrial/teaching experience, and should have demonstrated research potential in terms of publications in top-tier journals and conferences in cryptology and security.
The candidate should be preferably below 35 years of age for the post of Assistant Professor.
Associate Professor– one must possess at least six (6) years of Post-PhD research/industrial/teaching experience, of which at least three (3) years should
be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent. One should also have demonstrated adequate experience of independent research in terms of guidance of Masters and PhD students, publications in top-tier journals and conferences in cryptology and security, patents, sponsored projects/consultancy, and other professional activities relevant to his/her previous position(s).
Without any compromise on qualification, experience and competence, relaxations will be offered to SC, ST, OBC and PH candidates, as per the norms of the Institute. Suitable relaxations may also be offered to outstanding candidates, as per the judgement of the recruitment committee(s).
