About- Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, University of Delhi, invites applications from eligible candidates for various temporary project positions under the ICMR-funded research project titled: “Innovative Technologies for Detecting Drug Resistant Priority Pathogens in India to Improve Patient Outcomes”

The project is led by Anuradha Chowdhary, Medical Mycology Unit, Department of Microbiology.

Recruitment for Multiple Project Positions under ICMR-Funded Research Project (Temporary/Contractual)

Appointments will be on a contractual basis for one year or co-terminus with the project (whichever is earlier) and may be extended up to three years based on performance and project requirements.

Eligibility/Qualification–

1️⃣ Project Research Scientist-III (Non-Medical)

Postgraduate Degree in Life Sciences/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biomedical Sciences/Bioinformatics (including integrated PG)
5 years post-qualification experience
OR
Ph.D. in relevant field + 2 years experience

2️⃣ Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) (Bioinformatics)

Postgraduate Degree in relevant field (including integrated PG)
3 years post-qualification experience
OR
Ph.D. in relevant field

3️⃣ Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical)

Postgraduate Degree in relevant field (including integrated PG)
3 years post-qualification experience
OR
Ph.D.

4️⃣ Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)

Postgraduate Degree in Life Sciences/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biomedical Sciences/Bioinformatics

5️⃣ Project Technical Support-III

Three-year Graduate Degree in relevant subject + 3 years experience
OR
Postgraduate Degree in relevant subject
OR
10th + Diploma (MLT/DMLT/ITI or equivalent) + 2 years experience

6️⃣ Project Technical Support-I

Three-year Graduate Degree in relevant field (MLT/Life Sciences/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biomedical Sciences)
1 year experience

Educational qualifications must be from recognized Boards/Universities.
Experience will be counted after completion of minimum essential qualification.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Government organizations.
Relevant project-specific experience will be considered.
Community certificates must be issued by authorized Government officers.

Selected candidates will:

Work on innovative diagnostic technologies for drug-resistant pathogens
Conduct microbiological and molecular experiments
Perform bioinformatics analysis (for relevant positions)
Assist in clinical sample processing and data documentation
Support research documentation, reporting, and project coordination
Maintain laboratory standards and regulatory compliance
