Eligibility/Qualification–
- General: The essential qualifications/Pay Level for these positions will be as per the UGC Regulations, 2018, as amended from time to time. A minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at the Master’s level is essential for direct recruitment.
- Relaxations: A relaxation of 5% in marks is allowed for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes (OBC) (Non-creamy Layer)/Differently abled categories. A 5% relaxation is also provided to Ph.D. Degree holders who obtained their Master’s Degree prior to September 19, 1991.
- Professor:
- Option A:Â Ph.D. in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline with active research, a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, and a total research score of 120 (as per Appendix II, Table 2, of UGC Regulations, 2018). Minimum ten years of teaching/research experience at university/national level institutions with evidence of guiding doctoral candidates.
- Option B:Â An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. degree in relevant/allied/applied disciplines from academic institutions/industry, who has made significant contributions to knowledge in the field, supported by documentary evidence and ten years’ experience.
- Associate Professor:
- Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
- Master‘s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade).
- Minimum eight years of teaching and/or research experience in an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry.
- Minimum of seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 75 (as per Appendix II, Table 2, of UGC Regulations, 2018).
- Assistant Professor:
- Master‘s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar UGC-accredited test (like SLET/SET).
- Exemption from NET/SLET/SET is provided for Ph.D. Degree holders awarded in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016, and their amendments, subject to specific conditions. Ph.D. degrees from foreign universities/institutions with a ranking among the top 500 in the World University Ranking (QS, THE, or ARWU) are also exempt from NET/SLET/SET.
Job/Position Description-

- Assistant Professor: Academic Pay Level – 10 (Rs. 57,700 – 1,82,400/-)
