Eligibility/Qualification

  • Essential Criteria:
  • PhD awarded, or close to completion, in statistical genetics, genetic epidemiology, computational genomics, data science, biostatistics, or a closely related quantitative discipline with a substantial genomics component.
  • Experience conducting GWAS meta-analysis using summary-level data.
  • Experience generating, applying, or validating genetic risk scores in independent datasets.
  • Experience evaluating risk scores or prediction models in biomedical data.
  • Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience in developing or evaluating diagnostic prediction models with high-dimensional molecular data.
  • Experience analyzing proteomic, transcriptomic, metabolomic, or other omics datasets.
  • Familiarity with Olink, SomaScan, or other proteomic platforms.
  • Background in HLA/MHC analysis or immune-mediated disease genetics.

Job Description

The Research Associate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting GWAS and GWAS meta-analyses using individual-level and summary-level genetic data.
  • Preparing, quality controlling, harmonizing, and analyzing large-scale genetic and clinical datasets, including resources like UK Biobank and All of Us.
  • Generating, applying, validating, and comparing genetic risk scores for axial spondyloarthritis and psoriatic arthritis.
  • Evaluating genetic risk scores alongside clinical variables and other biomarkers across relevant subgroups.
