Designation/Position- Research Scientist- I (Scientist ‘B’)
ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Faridabad, India invites applications for Research Scientist- I (Scientist ‘B’) from eligible and interested candidates
About- Applications are invited for recruitment of the following contractual staff on fixed remuneration in Multidisciplinary Research Unit (MRU) of ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Faridabad. The MRU is a project funded by the Department of Health Research (DHR), Government of India.
Research/Job Area- Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology or related subject or equivalent
Location- ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Faridabad, India
Eligibility/Qualification–
Essential Qualifications:
First Class MBBS degree from a university recognized by MCI with minimum of 1 year research experience in Pathology, Genetics or Biomedical subjects.
OR
Ph.D degree in Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology or related subject or equivalent from a recognized University with 2 years Research and Development experience in the related subject.
OR
M.Sc. with a first-class grade in a relevant life science field (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular biology, Genetics, or Microbiology) or a closely related field from an accredited university and 3 years of research experience in the field.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of Medical statistics, Computer Applications/Data Management, data analysis and interpretation of results of statistical analysis.
- Experience on molecular biology, cancer biology and Immunohistochemistry (IHC).
- Not less than 2 research publications (accepted) in indexed scientific journals.
Experience of working in similar schemes in Government or any autonomous organization.
Age limit: Less than 35 Years as on 01.06.2023.
However, in case of SC/ST candidates, 5 years relaxation is admissible in upper age limit.
Age relaxation of 5 years will be given in suitable case.

*Tenure of all the posts: 2 Years.
