Research Area & Focus

The position centers on advanced cardiac imaging technologies, which may include cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), ultrasound/echocardiography, or nuclear imaging. Key research objectives involve pulse sequence development, image reconstruction algorithms, artificial intelligence/machine learning integration for image analysis, and clinical translation to evaluate cardiovascular disease mechanisms.

Eligibility & Qualifications

  • Education: Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, Electrical Engineering, Imaging Sciences, Computer Science, Biophysics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience: Demonstrated research background and track record in medical imaging, specifically cardiovascular imaging or advanced image processing/reconstruction.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in imaging research (such as MATLAB, Python, C/C++) and experience with image reconstruction and analysis toolkits.
  • Communication: Strong peer-reviewed publication record, excellent interpersonal skills, and the capacity to collaborate within a multidisciplinary clinical and technical team.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Design, optimize, and implement novel cardiac imaging protocols and reconstruction techniques.
  • Process, analyze, and interpret complex quantitative cardiovascular imaging datasets.
  • Collaborate closely with principal investigators, radiologists, cardiologists, and graduate trainees on research projects.
  • Author scientific manuscripts for publication in high-impact journals and present research findings at national and international conferences.
  • Contribute to grant writing, progress reports, and research funding applications.
  • Maintain compliance with institutional safety guidelines, animal/human research protocols, and data management standards.
