National Institute of Plant Genome Research, New Delhi, India, invites applications for Scientist Positions at NIPGR from eligible and interested candidates.

About- National Institute of Plant Genome Research, New Delhi, is an Autonomous Research Institution funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, to pursue research on various aspects of plant genomics. The Institute is also establishing the NIPGR Translational Centre at Bulandshahr, UP and Biotech Science Cluster, NCR, Faridabad, Haryana. NIPGR invites applications from Indian Citizens to fill the vacant posts on Direct Recruitment basis, as detailed below. The position of Consultant Engineer is on a contract basis.

Eligibility/Qualification–

Applicant should have excellent academic credentials along with the track record of scientific productivity evidenced by publications/patents/products in the frontier areas of Plant Biology such as, Computational Biology; Multiomics, System & Structural Biology; Genome Analysis and Molecular Mapping; Molecular Mechanism of Abiotic Stress Responses; Plant-Pathogen/Microbe Interactions; Plant Immunity; Nutritional Genomics; Plant Development and Architecture; Molecular Breeding, Gene Editing and Transgenics for crop improvement and other emerging areas in plant biology.

Scientist – IV	12 (Rs 78,800 — Rs 2,09,200)	01 [OBC] 45 yrs	1′ class M.Sc. or equivalent with at least nine years research experience or Ph.D with at least five years research experience in the relevant subject. Desirable: Research experience in the relevant field. The research experience should be evident from publications in above fields in reputed journals.

Job/Position Description-

As per extant instructions, SC/ST/Women candidates are exempt from the application fee.
No application fee for the position of Consultant Engineer.
The fee will be submitted online through SBI Collect.
