University of Delhi invites application for Senior Project Associate – Walk-in from eligible and interested candidates

About- The Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research (ACBR), University of Delhi has invited applications for the post of Senior Project Associate-I under a Department of Science & Technology (DST) – Cognitive Science Research Initiative (CSRI) funded research project. The project focuses on understanding the role of Fibronectin 1 (FN1) in cognitive dysfunction associated with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy (TLE). Eligible candidates with a Master’s degree and research experience or a Ph.D. in relevant disciplines are encouraged to apply before 20 July 2026.

Eligibility/Qualification–

Essential Qualification

Applicants must possess either:

• Master’s Degree in:
  • Natural Sciences
  • Life Sciences
  • Biotechnology
  • Biochemistry
  • Biomedical Science
  • Neuroscience
  • Molecular Biology
  • or an equivalent discipline

AND

• Four years of R&D experience in academic or industrial institutions

OR

• Ph.D. in any relevant discipline.

Desirable Qualification

Preference will be given to candidates having experience in:

• Rodent animal models
• Behavioral neuroscience
• Molecular biology techniques
• Immunohistochemistry
• Microscopy
• Cell culture
• EEG/Electrophysiology
• Epilepsy research
• Scientific writing
• Data analysis

Age Limit

• Maximum 40 years (as per Government of India/DST norms).

Senior Project Associate-I

• Number of Vacancies: 1
• Project Type: DST-CSRI Sponsored Research Project
• Project Duration: Initially one year, extendable based on satisfactory performance until completion of the project.

Project Title: Targeting Fibronectin 1 (FN1) for Cognitive Dysfunction Associated with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy (TLE)

The selected candidate will contribute to a DST-funded neuroscience research project investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying cognitive dysfunction in temporal lobe epilepsy. Responsibilities include:

• Conducting laboratory experiments related to molecular biology and neuroscience.
• Performing rodent behavioral studies.
• Carrying out immunohistochemistry and microscopy experiments.
• Working with cell culture and electrophysiological techniques.
• Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting experimental data.
• Assisting in scientific writing, documentation, and project reporting.
• Supporting the Principal Investigator in achieving project objectives.

Salary

• ₹42,000 per month
• House Rent Allowance (HRA) as applicable under DST norms.
