About- The Department of Botany, University of Delhi, invites applications for two positions of Senior Project Associate for the DBT-funded project “Developing Abiotic Stress Tolerant High-Yielding ‘STuRDY’ Rice in Mega Variety Swarna through Genome Editing”. This is a walk-in interview opportunity, with competitive emoluments of ₹42,000 + 27% HRA. Candidates with a strong academic and research background are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility/Qualification–
- Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, MVSc, or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Four years of research experience in R&D in academic, industrial, or science/technology organizations.
- Alternatively, a Doctoral degree (PhD) in Science, Engineering, Technology, Pharma, or Medicine from a recognized university or equivalent.

Senior Project Associate
- The Senior Project Associate will be responsible for conducting research on abiotic stress tolerance in rice, particularly using genome editing techniques.
- The role includes experimental design, data collection and analysis, documentation, and publishing results.
- The position requires close collaboration with project staff, including faculty members and research scholars.
- The candidate will be involved in both field and lab-based work, with the expectation of providing support in the overall progress of the project.
