Tata Institute of Genetics and Society, inStem, Bangalore, Karnataka invites application from Post-doctoral Fellow position from eligible and interested candidates.
About- Research at inStem addresses the genetic mechanisms of potency, differentiation and proliferation in human pluripotent cells, examines clinical manifestations of diseases that can potentially be treated by stem cells, models human diseases using stem cells, uses model organisms such as Planaria and Hydra to address fundamental questions in regenerative biology, develops platforms to interrogate signaling pathways with new chemical entities, and finally, develops tools that will help to better understand the biology driving stem cells and eventually treat disease states.At inStem, research is primarily carried out by groups who work on tightly-knit themes, crossing boundaries and developing new approaches to address questions larger than the expertise of individual researchers.

Eligibility/Qualification-
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Qualification: Ph. D in a relevant area of Biology, preferably (but not limited to) Stem Cell Biology, Cell Signaling, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology etc.
Experience Required:
Must have completed a Ph.D. Should be well versed in one or more of the following: Molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, cell biology, genetics, developmental biology, cell culture.
Job/Position Description- To be part of a team of scientists working on gene editing in mammalian stem cells.
Requirements:
Experience of working in a world class research environment and ideally must have extensive experience in project design and data analysis with expertise in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology. Should have meticulous lab practices, excellent time-management skills and the ability to work unsupervised. Must be enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work well in a team (that includes post-doctoral scientists, graduate students and laboratory support staff). Must have excellent writing and verbal skills in English.
