About- Indian Institute of Information Technology Tiruchirappalli (IIITT), also known as IIIT Trichy, is an Institute of National Importance and one among the 21 IIITs proposed under the non-profit Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Model by MHRD.

IIITT is an academic and research institute fully funded by the Government of India, the Government of Tamil Nadu, and Industry Partners in the ratio of 50:35:15.

Research/Job Area- Computer Science and Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics and for B.Sc. B.Ed. programme

Eligibility/Qualification–

Essential Qualification:

Ph.D. in the relevant / equivalent discipline and shall have First Class in the preceding Degrees.

Preceding Degrees:

For Engineering: B.E./B.Tech. or any equivalent Degree and M.E./M.Tech. or any equivalent Degree in relevant discipline.

Candidates having Ph.D. Degree directly after B.E./B.Tech. from reputed Institutions / Universities will also be considered, if other norms are fulfilled.

For Humanities/ Sciences: B.A./ B.Sc./ or any equivalent undergraduate Degree and M.A./ M.Sc. or any equivalent P.G. Degree in relevant discipline.
- For B.Sc. B.Ed. programme (ITEP): B.Sc. or any equivalent undergraduate Degree and M.Sc. or any equivalent P.G. Degree with B.Ed. and M.Ed.

Preferable age limit: 35 years, Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/PwD as per the GoI norms.

Job/Position Description-

Applications (as per the format given in Annexure-1) are invited from Indian nationals for Temporary Faculty positions in the Departments of Computer Science and Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics and for B.Sc. B.Ed. programme (Integrated Teacher Education Programme(ITEP)) at NIT, Tiruchirappalli.

Temporary faculty is expected to assist the Institute for the academic transformation in respect of Teaching UG/PG Courses, curriculum development, delivery and evaluation. They have to be academically strong in their respective areas and communicating effectively to the students.

Consolidated Remuneration: Rs 50,000/- per month

Consolidated remuneration fixed at the time of joining will not be changed during the period of appointment.

No other allowances are admissible.

Nature of appointment: The appointment is purely temporary for one semester and extendable further depending on the performance as per Government/Institute Norms.
