Research/Job Area- Mechanical Engineering
|Age||Not exceeding 50 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for Government servants for upto 5 years by the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government.|
|Essential Qualification (s)|| A. EDUCATIONAL|
Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent*.
* The interpretation of ‘EQUIVALENT’ here means any Technical Institutions recognized by AICTE/UGC and not construed as Educational.
B. EXPERIENCE- Fifteen years’ experience in a managerial capacity in the working of the Indian Boiler Act and Rules and regulations framed there under the manufacture/ operation/ maintenance/ inspection of Boilers.

|Duty(ies)||To advise the Central and State Govt. on all the matters relating to the administration of the Indian Boilers Act, 1923. Work as member secretary of Central Boiler Board and is responsible for notification and implementing all Amendments to the Indian Boilers Act & Regulations. |
Further, he/she carries out all the duties and responsibilities entrusted to him, such as technical audits and recognition of Inspecting Authorities/Competent Authorities/Well Known Steel Makers/ Foundries/Forging/Pipe & tube makers/Laboratories as per Indian Boiler Regulations for allowing the industries to self certify their products.
He/She is also engaged as Technical Advisor and advising on all the matters against the decisions of Chief Inspectors of Boilers of the States.
