Eligibility/Qualification–

Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Chemical / Environmental Engineering or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Graphics, Animation, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in 3D modelling, texturing, lighting, and animation for simulation projects.

Responsibilities:

Create high-quality 3D models, textures, and animations for use in the simulation software and Unity 3D.
Collaborate with the team to ensure that all 3D assets are seamlessly integrated into the simulation software and Unity 3D.
Develop and implement lighting and shading techniques to create realistic 3D environments and objects in the simulation software and Unity 3D.
Work closely with the simulation designers and engineers to ensure that the 3D assets and animations meet the project’s requirements and specifications.
Participate in brainstorming and creative sessions to develop new concepts and ideas for the simulation project.
Stay up-to-date with the latest 3D production techniques and simulation software applications, including Unity 3D.

Requirements:

Proficient in 3D software applications such as Maya, 3DS Max, Blender, or similar.
Experience working with simulation software such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or similar.
Strong understanding of lighting and shading techniques to create realistic 3D environments and objects.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Job/Position Description-

Research group is seeking a talented and passionate 3D Generalist to join our team for a simulation project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 3D modelling, texturing, lighting, and animation, as well as experience working with Unity 3D. As a 3D Generalist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D assets, environments, and animations that meet the project’s requirements and specifications.

Co-ordinator: Prof. Murali, K, Department of Ocean Engineering, IIT Madras. Duration: Initially for one year, later extendable based on the performance.

Post	Pay
3D Generalist	Rs 60,000/- Per month
