Research/Job Area- Engineering & Sciences

Location- Mumbai

Eligibility/Qualification–

PhD in Engineering

MTech/ME/MDes or equivalent degree with minimum 3 years relevant experience

BTech/BE/BDes or equivalent engineering degree with minimum 5 years of experience

PhD in Sciences with minimum 2 years relevant experience

MSc or MPH with 5 years experience

Desired competencies :

Utilize MS Office and Google Docs for project management tasks, including document creation,collaboration, and data management.
Work effectively in a multicultural team environment, fostering inclusivity and leveraging diverseperspectives for project success.
Respond promptly to urgent tasks and deadlines, demonstrating the ability to prioritize and managemultiple responsibilities effectively.

Job Profile:

Interface with consultant management, the Secretariat head, PI, Co-PI, and other stakeholders toensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Actively participate in project outreach activities to promote project objectives and engage withrelevant stakeholders.
Oversee day-to-day operational activities of the project, ensuring smooth execution and adherenceto project timelines and deliverables.
Assist in the organization and management of project activities, including workshops, events, andmeetings.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills and leadership abilities to interact with the projectteam, partners, and stakeholders effectively.
Coordinate and arrange meetings between faculty investigators, partners, and ministry officials tofacilitate collaboration and decision-making.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the consortium on all project management matters,addressing inquiries and providing support as needed.
Assist in project report writing and collation of information, ensuring accuracy and completeness ofproject documentation.
Participate in the scrutiny of prospective employees for the consortium
Required person would also assist in the technical part of the project. A background in public health,disease modelling, data analytics or life sciences would get preference.

Project title: National Disease Modelling Consortium Phase II: Developing Models to Estimate and Project Disease Burden to Inform Control and/orElimination Strategies for Priority Diseases in India.

About the project: IIT Bombay is the lead institution of the National Disease Modelling Consortium (NDMC). The consortium partners with various institutions across the country for disease modelling research. The consortium aims to develop India-specific disease models to address policy and programmatic questions, to improve disease control and intervention strategies in the country. Pay Details: Consolidated salary Rs.78000/- p.m. + HRA

General information:

The position is temporary for a period of 1 year and tenable only for the duration of the project. The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
