Research Fellow in Mathematical Analysis: The University of Birmingham, School of Mathematics, invites applications for a Research Fellowship in Mathematical Analysis. The position is available under the EPSRC funded project “Evolutionary Game Theory under Uncertainty (EP/Y008561/1).” The successful candidate will work with Dr. Hong Duong and contribute to the development of new models and techniques in mathematical analysis.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics (or near completion)
- Strong research contributions in partial differential equations, numerical analysis, probability theory, or related areas
- Track record of publications in leading subject-specific journals
- High-level analytical capability
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of resource assessment and utilization
- Understanding of management/administration processes
- Awareness of Equality Act 2010’s protected characteristics
Job Description:
- Develop research objectives and proposals
- Analyze and interpret data
- Disseminate research findings through publications and seminars
- Supervise students and provide guidance to Ph.D. students
- Contribute to developing new models, techniques, and methods
- Undertake research-related management/administration
- Contribute to departmental/school research activities
- Engage in enterprise, business development, or public engagement activities
- Collect research data through various methods
- Present research outputs at seminars and in academic publications
- Provide guidance to support staff and students
