PhD Position in Cell Immunobiology: A PhD position is available in the Single Cell Immunobiology Group at the Department of Internal Medicine II in University Medical Center Freiburg. The position focuses on investigating gamma delta T cell development and evolution using state-of-the-art single-cell technologies. The candidate will join the RTG2344 “MeInBio” program, contributing to the study of the development, peripheral adaption, and evolution of gamma delta T cells.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master’s degree in biology, molecular medicine, or immunology.
- Experience in basic molecular and cellular biology techniques (cell culture, FACS, qPCR, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of R and/or Python.
- Strong interest and motivation in analyzing datasets, as the position is primarily computational.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and formulate creative hypotheses from data.
Job Description: The PhD student will:
- Conduct single-cell RNA sequencing and other single-cell multimodal profiling using microfluidics and split and pool technologies.
- Perform computational data analysis in collaboration with other scientists.
- Present biological interpretations of datasets during lab meetings, retreats, and collaboration meetings.
