Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD or equivalent in molecular, structural biology, biophysics, engineering, mathematics, or computer vision.
- Prior research experience in cryo-electron microscopy is encouraged.
- Interest in developing methods to improve imaging of vitrified cells in the electron microscope.
- Proficient in English.
Job Description:
- Develop methods to advance cryo-electron tomography imaging pipelines.
- Utilize cryo-electron tomography imaging and computational tools for imaging cells.
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary and team-oriented scientific environment.
- Access state-of-the-art facilities at the Dubochet Center for Imaging and UNIL’s Electron Microscopy Facility.
- Work on two 300 kV Titan Krios, an Aquilos 2, scanning electron microscopes, and cryo-EM sample preparation equipment.
- Engage in correlative light and electron microscopy (CLEM) and cryo-EM sample preparation.
