Location: Faculdade de Ciências Médicas|NOVA Medical School (FCM|NMS), Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (UNL), Lisbon, Portugal

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Health Sciences, Biology, or related fields
  • Completion of PhD within the last three years prior to the application submission date
  • Prior experience in Neurosciences, particularly in Parkinson’s disease
  • Proficiency in biochemical techniques such as immunohistochemistry and western blotting
  • Experience with animal behavior experiments is advantageous
  • Motivated, innovative, and self-driven individuals with excellent communication skills

Job Description:

  • Conduct scientific research activities in the field of biomedicine with a focus on Parkinson’s disease
  • Validate Insulin degrading enzyme as a therapeutic target through mouse behavior evaluation and biochemical analysis
  • Perform protein analysis using immunoblotting and immunohistochemistry techniques
  • Collaborate with the research team to achieve project objectives and milestones
  • Maintain accurate records of research activities, attend lab meetings, and report findings to the laboratory leader
  • Write scientific manuscripts for publication and present research findings at conferences and seminars
