Job Description

The PhD project involves:

  • Developing bespoke algorithms for optimising chemical processes in flow chemistry.
  • Comparing design-of-experiments with self-optimising methods for efficiency.
  • Iteratively improving algorithm choice to optimise cost, product yield, and sustainability.
  • Generating process models for a range of organic materials.
  • Collaborating with other students and benefiting from a tailored training programme.
  • Training and research will be conducted at the Materials Innovation Factory (MIF).
