National Institute of Immunology (NII), New Delhi, India invites applications for Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) from eligible and interested candidates
About- Applications are invited for one position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) for a 3-year project funded by ICMR titled “Delineating the genetic interactions between Histone Demethylases and DNA damage repair genes to develop personalized tumour detection and treatment.” The role requires experience in molecular biology, CRISPR/Cas9, epigenetics, and bioinformatics. The selected candidate will receive consolidated emoluments of Rs. 56,000 per month plus HRA. Contract duration is one year or project duration, whichever is shorter. Eligibility/Qualification–
Educational Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree in Biological Sciences, including the integrated PG degrees as per funding agency (ICMR) norms.
Desirable Qualifications: Candidates should have a PhD degree in any field of Biological Sciences with a research publication.
Experience in molecular biology, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, and epigenetics (specifically ChIP-seq and DNA methylation profiling) is a must. Handling of mammalian cell lines and advanced cell culture techniques, including the establishment and maintenance of patientderived organoids, is a must. Candidates with experience in bioinformatics (Whole Exome Sequencing data analysis), drug-sensitivity assays, and processing clinical tumour samples are also encouraged to apply.

Emoluments: The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute Rules, depending upon qualifications & experience:
Rs. 56,000/- Per month plus HRA 30% (As per funding agency norms).
General Terms & Conditions:
- The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or for the duration of the project, whichever is shorter, at a time.
- No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.
