Eligibility/Qualification:
Prospective applicants must meet the University’s standard PhD admission requirements and be accepted into the School of Sociology’s PhD programme. They should have a background in sociology, anthropology, criminology, or related disciplines, and a genuine interest in conducting qualitative or qualitatively driven mixed-method research.
Job Description:
The successful applicant will work under the supervision of Dr. Emeka Dumbili and engage in research related to Gender, Alcohol and other Drug De/normalization, and other relevant leisure-related topics. The study should address aspects such as Gendering of alcohol/drug, Alcohol and National Identity, and Gender and Drinking Geographies, among others. The candidate is expected to propose a research project that aligns with the specified areas of study and commit to a qualitative study or qualitatively driven mixed-method research.
