Postdoctoral Researcher in Structural Biology: We are seeking two highly motivated postdoctoral researchers to join the Flavimmunity Group at the Institut Pasteur in Paris, France. These positions are part of two prestigious EU HORIZON-funded projects focused on understanding the immune response to flaviviruses and developing next-generation therapeutic strategies. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g., virology, molecular biology, structural biology).
  • Strong knowledge in molecular and/or structural biology.
  • Technical expertise in standard biochemistry techniques.
  • Experience with CryoEM data processing is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of publishing scientific papers and presenting data at scientific meetings.
  • Strong initiative, teamwork skills, and a drive for tackling challenging projects.

Job Description:
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be responsible for conducting virological assays, designing antigens, and performing structural studies on flaviviruses using cryoEM and X-ray crystallography. Your work will focus on the following EU-funded projects:

  1. YellowdFLAVI: Investigating the determinants of immunogenicity of the yellow fever 17D vaccine to inform flavivirus vaccine design.
  2. SHIELD: Studying viral entry mechanisms, such as glycosylation and virion dynamics, with a focus on viruses like West Nile, Zika, dengue, and yellow fever.

You will independently lead your research project and closely collaborate with international teams within the YellowdFLAVI or SHIELD consortia. Additionally, you may mentor PhD and master’s students involved in the research.
