Job Description:
As a Research Associate, your main tasks will include fabricating vascular microfluidic chips and using real-time high-resolution imaging and nanoindentation techniques to study vascular network formation and remodeling within these devices. You will perform experiments to evaluate the effects of extracellular matrix stiffness, growth factor levels, and flow conditions on vascular tubulogenesis. Additionally, you will apply quantitative image analysis and theoretical modeling to interpret your findings and identify the parameters that influence the final morphology of engineered vessels. Collaboration, contribution to scientific publications, and participation in the mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students, as well as participating in teaching activities, are integral parts of this role.
