Postdoctoral Researcher in Neutrino Physics: The CIEMAT Neutrino Group is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work on neutrino physics in the Short-Baseline Near Detector (SBND) experiment at Fermilab. This position, based in Madrid, Spain, is supported by the grant “Scintillation precision timing for new physics in the SBND neutrino experiment” and offers the opportunity to engage in groundbreaking research in Beyond Standard Model (BSM) physics.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will join the CIEMAT Neutrino Group and contribute to the SBND experiment, which operates within the Booster Neutrino Beam at Fermilab, USA. Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in the commissioning and data collection of the SBND experiment.
- Developing reconstruction and data analysis techniques for liquid argon scintillation light.
- Conducting event reconstruction and data analysis for BSM physics searches.
The CIEMAT group, as a key contributor to the SBND’s BSM physics program, will support the candidate in applying for a Juan de la Cierva 2024 Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Spanish Research Agency to continue their research beyond 2025.
