Eligibility / Qualification

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Physiology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong research background with publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and interpretation of experimental data.
  • Knowledge of computational biology tools and willingness to learn programming languages such as Python or R.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) culture and differentiation.
  • Understanding of structural variation and genome variant mechanisms.
  • Experience with bioinformatics libraries for data analysis.
  • Knowledge of high-performance computing (HPC) pipelines.
  • Experience working in Linux command-line environments.

Job Description

The Postdoctoral Associate will:

  • Conduct research on structural variants and their biological consequences in human and mammalian genomes.
  • Analyze genomic and transcriptomic datasets using computational approaches.
  • Perform molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell culture experiments.
  • Investigate mechanisms influencing genome variation and transcriptional changes.
  • Use bioinformatics tools to analyze human and mouse sequencing data.
  • Develop reproducible computational workflows and apply statistical methods.
  • Maintain research documentation and curate experimental data.
  • Prepare manuscripts, research reports, and grant applications.
  • Present research findings at scientific meetings and conferences.
  • Collaborate with researchers performing both computational and laboratory-based studies.
