Eligibility / Qualification

Applicants must have:

  • A Ph.D. degree in Condensed Matter Physics, Materials Science, or a closely related field.
  • Ph.D. degree completed before the start date of employment.
  • Hands-on experience with STM-based tip-enhanced optical spectroscopy (priority requirement).
  • Experience in low-temperature STM measurements is highly preferred.
  • Strong research record demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting experimental research in quantum materials and nanoscience.
  • Fabricating and studying two-dimensional van der Waals heterostructures.
  • Performing atomic-scale structural and electronic characterization.
  • Operating and maintaining advanced scanning probe microscopy systems.
  • Using cryogenic STM platforms for investigating 2D materials and graphene-based devices.
  • Performing data analysis and interpretation.
  • Publishing research findings in international peer-reviewed journals.
  • Presenting results at scientific conferences.

Available Research Facilities

The researcher will have access to advanced instrumentation, including:

  • 1 K STM system with external magnetic fields up to 8 Tesla.
