Postdoc Position: Light-dependent Localization and Functions of Splicing Regulators in Early Seedling Development
Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher

Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in molecular plant biology or a related field.
- Proficiency in molecular methods, including the generation and analysis of plant mutants.
- Background in RNA biology or plant physiology is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Job Description:
- Investigate the functions and phospho-regulation of splicing regulators in light-dependent splicing and seedling development.
- Establish reporter lines to monitor speckle dynamics during early seedling growth.
- Functionally characterize splicing processes, focusing on SR phosphorylation and interactions with proteins and RNAs.
- Employ cutting-edge techniques such as proximity labeling and TRIBE to identify novel interactors of splicing regulators.
- Contribute to research and teaching activities within the Wachter Group, including supervision of students (BSc to PhD level).
- Collaborate with ongoing projects in the SFB 1551 on “Polymer Concepts in Cellular Function.”
