Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Modelling, or a related field.
- Experience in biofuel or other renewable energy sectors is highly appreciated.
- Knowledge of relevant decarbonization regulations in the maritime sector (e.g., FuelEU Maritime, EU Emissions Trading System) is valuable.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing a model of the thermochemical process, including multiphase flow in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
- Optimising biofuel production and assessing economic feasibility based on multiple variables (e.g., feedstock, process parameters, product quality).
- Designing, developing, and running process simulations to increase efficiency.
- Performing work on relevant software and modelling tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, GAMS, SimaPro, HYSYS).
- Assisting in preparing technical reports and presentations, ensuring high standards of accuracy and presentation.
- Playing a crucial role in accompanying the scientific and knowledge coordination of the project.
