Eligibility / Qualification:

  • PhD (awarded within the last 3 years or near completion) in Materials Science, Organic Chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Strong research record with peer-reviewed publications.
  • Experience in processing/chemical modification of nanocellulose or biopolymers.
  • Proficient in rheological and mechanical characterization of polymer-based materials.
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
  • Collaborative mindset for interdisciplinary research.

Note: Exceptions to the 3-year PhD limit can be made for parental leave, sick leave, or military service.


Job Description:

  • Conduct independent research on biopolymer-based composite materials and hydrogels for wearable electronics.
  • Collaborate with researchers at WWSC (Chalmers, KTH, and LiU) and external partners.
  • Design experiments, analyze data, and publish results in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Contribute actively to the development of research ideas and project execution.
  • Present findings at conferences and research meetings.
