Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A PhD in Computational Biology, Molecular Biology, Oncology, or Genetics with a strong emphasis on computational analysis.
  • Experience in processing and analyzing genomic data using existing tools (e.g., EdgeR/DeSeq2 for RNA sequencing).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R or Python for data analysis.

Job Description:

The Research Associate will be the lead researcher analyzing RNA sequencing and other omics data from tumour specimens associated with gestational trophoblastic disease. The role includes:

  • Identifying markers and pathways that predict the malignancy of atypical placental site nodules (APSN).
  • Analyzing data to understand the molecular mechanisms of resistance to treatments.
  • Utilizing existing tools and developing new methodologies in collaboration with genomics experts.
  • Contributing towards the discovery of new therapeutic targets and prognostic biomarkers for improved clinical management of patients.
