Eligibility/Qualifications
Essential:
- Master’s degree in biological sciences or a related field
- Authorized to work with laboratory animals (FELASA accredited)
- Strong interest in addiction, particularly cocaine use disorder
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
Desirable:
- Experience with behavioral studies in rodents
- Skills in immunohistochemistry and/or microscopy
- Familiarity with fiber photometry and handling large datasets using Python or MATLAB
- Experience in scientific writing and publication
Job Description
As a PhD student, you will:
- Conduct independent research on Cobenfy’s effects on cocaine behavior and neurotoxicity in animal models.
- Utilize methodologies such as intravenous drug self-administration, fiber photometry, immunohistochemistry, and fluorescence microscopy.
- Engage with a collaborative research environment, participate in PhD courses (approx. 30 ECTS points), and develop skills in scientific writing, teaching, and grant writing.
