About- The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS) is a society registered under Act XXI of 1860 and the corresponding State Act viz. the West Bengal State Registration Act 1961, with its headquarters at 2A & 2B, Raja S. C. Mallick Road, Calcutta – 700 032, West Bengal, India. It has a Governing Council with several members elected or nominated and the Registrar as its Non-Member Secretary. The Council has the functions, duties and power as envisaged in the Memorandum and Bye-Laws and per the relevant Act’s provisions.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Nationality: The applicant must be an Indian citizen
Broad Research Area: Materials Chemistry
Essential Qualifications: The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry with more than 3 years post-doctoral experience. Candidate should have expertise in the synthesis of porous organic polymers, metal phosphates/phosphonates and related porous nanostructures. Preference will be given to the candidates having knowledge in electrochemical water splitting, liquid phase catalysis etc.
Age limit: Should be below 38 years on the date of application.

Fellowship: As per IACS rule.
Tenure: This position is temporary (one year) and can be extended further one year subject to the recommendation of the evaluation committee based on his/her performance after one year. The candidate will have no right to claim (explicit or implicit) any post in the institute.
